This is not a stand-alone game. A copy of Final Girl: Core Box and the corresponding Final Girl Feature Film are required to play. A copy of the Core Box can also be found in the Final Girl: Starter Set and the Final Girl: Bad Times at Buddyland Premium Starter Set

Gratuitous violence
Personally, flipping through a book to read a paragraph every round or two didn't add much to the game for me. These books don't add to the gameplay, just the flavor and atmosphere. Unless you're a major slasher fan, you don't need these. Get the lore and scenario book instead.
