In Rolling Realms, players compete to earn the most stars in a series of minigames over 3 round. This is a roll-and-write game, meaning that players will write on the game components using dry-erase markers.

Each turn, one player rolls 2 dice, and all players use the dice results on their realm cards to generate resources and earn stars.

Rolling Realms plays with 1-6 out of the box, but you can combine multiple copies to play with any number of players. It can easily be played remotely over video-conference, as only 1 player needs to roll the dice.

Top 5 Roll & Writes

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Rolling Realms is one of the best roll & write games available today. This edition comes with 13 minigame realms, but there are more than 50 other realms that are either published as promos or on the way! Developed during the pandemic, it's great solo and can easily be played over a video call. This game is actually my most played game of all time, given how quick and easy the ever-evolving puzzle is to set up. It can quickly be pulled out on a lunch break. Highly recommend.

Good game fun for most ages can be a little complicated with the cards but after you get over that it’s a great game

Very good roll & write

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Comparing it to other roll & write games, this one is more complex and fun to play. Since the cards combine differently each time, I believe the replay value is very high. The quality of the box and manual is great, for the price tag, it's a must Since these are first editions, the box has the print number, a very nice touch.

Puzzle-ing Fun

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I honestly didn't expect much from Rolling Realms but it took me by surprise. It is incredibly satisfying. Roll the chunky dice and make selections on 3 realm cards to get as many stars as possible. The combo's you can create when you get just the right dice are really satisfying. There are 11 realm cards for each player and enough cards for up to 6 players. The game plays over 3 rounds. Each round you draw 3 realm cards so there are 165 different combinations, which is a lot of replayability :-) and with the recent announcement of many more realms to come, this is a game that will keep on giving. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Just the right amount of difficulty

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Any game made by SM has my interest. It has the right level of complexity to keep my brain engaged, but the right amount of simplicity to make playing over Zoom or FT a reality. It's effectively a combination of worker placement and Yatzee. My friends who enjoy Catan really enjoy it as well. Even with isolation periods (hopefully) ending soon, we still plan to keep this one on our shelf and play in person as well as remote.

Excellent roll n write!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

We love this game! My friend and I played along with Jamey each week as he modified and changed the game based on what he liked/disliked and fan suggestions. So glad he turned it into a game for the retail shelves!

Love this game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I was fortunate enough to play Rolling Realms at Geekway 2021 and it was one of the best games we played this year. My wife who isn't a big gamer enjoys it as well so that's a plus.
