The vital role played in the battle by the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village was influenced by C-3PO, whose stories of the Rebellion encouraged the brave Ewoks to challenge the Imperial forces on the forest moon.
With the belief that these stories came from the mouth of a god guiding them, warriors such as the shaman Logray, the scout Wicket, and many cunning Ewok hunters joined with C-3PO's counterpart R2-D2 to become a small but stalwart heroes of the Rebellion.
