Underrated?

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I rarely buy games without reading reviews first, so I try to post reviews to help others. I enjoy playing Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria, and I mostly play it solo, but occasionally with others. It was a game that initially flew under my radar, but I ultimately discovered it by accident, while reading reviews for a different game. After reading others opinions of it, and watching a playthrough, I bought it. Even though it has plenty of good reviews, I think it's still a underrated game. The Riftlands expansion adds to the base game's already fun experience. The expansion's components have the same level of quality, and it's definitely worth the price paid. While some expansions just give you more of the same, which is sometimes ok, Riftlands adds a new element to the game, in the form of Relics. It includes a game board extension from which you can access the 30 newly added Relic cards, and I can't imagine ever playing without this new element. This expansion also adds 5 player board overlays, 5 new Award cards, 23 new Champion cards, and a bunch of new chits/tokens. If you enjoy playing Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria, you should definitely get this expansion. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria: Riftlands.
