Marvel Crisis Protocol: Earth's Mightiest Core Set

Like most games buying the core set is a great value. I always buy AMG core sets because it's the easiest way to get their special dice and measure tools.

I purchased the original Crisi Protocol core set when it first came out and decided recently to get back into the game. Found this new core set and was not disappointed! The models are incredibly detailed and easy to put together. Cannot wait to get it to the tabletop!

Releasing a new Core Set with updated cards and sculpts along with a better mix of terrain than the original box was a great idea. Atomic Mass Games took many of the advancements in the game since launching and made this box a fine way to get into the game, and with all the changes and updates the box is a fine addition to a collection that already has the original core set. The only nitpick would be not including all the Crisis Cards, having to buy another product to have access to these stings a tiny bit.

You can see what is in the core set for yourself but that doesn't really describe the game. Marvel Crisis Protocol (MCP) is, imo, the best set of table top rules around right now. An average game has between 4-6 models per player depending on point values. Missions range from 15-20pts and characters are between 2-8pts each. Each model FEELS like their comic book character and everyone, even the little 2pters, has an impact on the game. MCP has a brilliant system, you earn energy for each damage you sustain. Taking damage doesn't feel disappointing because it means your character will be powered up to use some of their big super powers on their next activation. Also you have a healthy and injured side so it is almost impossible to have a model removed from the game before you get to activate them. You and your opponent each pick one mission (a red and a blue) but you BOTH can score off of both missions. This feature makes it so you never feel like the game is unbalanced against the team you want to bring. Oh and most of the terrain is destroyable, many characters can throw it or adversariess into it to cause damage. By the end of a battle a good chunk of the terrain has been removed from the table which makes for a dynamic gameplay experience. Honestly I cannot recommend this game enough. It has a very low financial barrier of entry, even if you wanted to run tournaments you only need 10 models (you bring a 10 man roster but still only play 4-6 at a time) and this core set has you covered for that. Even if you don't like super heroes but do like TT, pick this up!

The set comes with a lot of plastic, I think the coolest thing is getting terrain with the miniatures.

Got the MCP core set over black Friday for a huge 60$ discount. Best deal I've seen on the box since release. It came quickly and in flawless condition. Would purchase from miniature market again!

Perfect place to start. You get so much! Even if you don’t think you will play most of the characters, still worth getting. Most of the characters can be used for fillers in future team builds and you get so much for the table: loads of thick cardboards chits, strong plastic measuring sticks (high quality), a bunch of terrain (cars, building, lights, trash cans). More than enough to play dozens of games before having to figure out where to expand with minis and terrain.

MM had the best price I found and the box arrived in lots of padding and perfectly safe. Great product and MM was great as always!
