The first Classic Fate Deck was made as part of a contest with Wyrd years ago. The material at the time was good-quality, Bicycle-style quilted card stock plasticated for use. The new material seems thicker, and isn't coated quite the same. This deck is clearly intended to be sleeved, and to be thicker in hopes (I believe) of extending its play life. Though it was made with the intent to also function as a poker deck, you'll need this sleeved even for that or it'll feel very strange.
