Lovecraftesque tells the story of a lone individual stumbling upon clues to a terrible evil. At first they dismiss it, but piece by piece a picture emerges, until suddenly it becomes impossible to deny. They plunge into shadow, they recoil in horror, but it is already too late. The horrifying truth is laid bare.

Lovecraftesque is GM-less tabletop game that creates a compelling cosmic horror tale in a single session of play.

1-5 players create a worldview-shattering horror together, and share control of a single character who is the witness to that horror.

The players take turns to play different roles. Sometimes you're the Witness, portraying the fears and doubts of the central character. Sometimes you're the Narrator, generating weird clues using the deck of creative prompts, building a mystery one clue at a time. Sometimes you're the Whisperer, dripping atmospheric detail into the story.

As the mystery grows, clue upon clue, you each write down your secret theory of the horror. You use your theory to guide the clues you create. The truth behind the horror emerges like magic from your separate contributions.

At the terrifying finale, your conclusions and collaborations reach fever pitch. You reveal the shocking truth behind the clues and drive the main character towards the inevitable and bleak ending.

Lovecraftesque includes everything you need to play the game. You can create stories in any setting imaginable using the core decks, or play using one of the six exciting scenarios included with the game.
