Gorgeous fun
Creature comforts is a fun, light, worker placement game that I can easily introduce to my family and friends that aren't heavy gamers. The artwork is absolutely fantastic and the game play is smooth and easy to get into.

Adorable Great Game
First of course this game is adorable, but the way the game plays is really well done. You are slightly betting the outcome of the dice with the animal meeples before the dice roll. Hoping to get the dice outcome to match up with the action spots you picked. Many cute cards!

Lives up to all my expectations!
So excited to get this! It's such a fun worker placement. Just long enough, and the theme is my favorite game to play when I was a kid: saving up for the winter. I love the art, production on even this standard copy is great. Send workers, hope you get the right dice to activate them, receive resources, build comforts to prep you for the winter. Easy to learn compared to the really crunchy euros but more complex than an intro game. Sweet spot.

Creature Comforts: Cute Game for My Daughter's Birthday
I'm drawn to this game because of all the great artwork, the bits, and wooden animal meeples. I played the game at Geekway to the West and really liked it. Reminds me a bit of Texas Holdem' (though I've never played that). I know you have a few of your own bits mixed with a few more from the house. You know all about your own bits, but not the house's until the dice are rolled. By using your best guestimation, you play your bits where you think the best combined dice rolls will play to your advantage. It's a very intriguing game and very cute. I bought a copy for my daughter who's turning 23. She will love it. I'm holding out for a Kickstarter edition which includes more wooden bits. But for now, I can't wait for her birthday! -Ward

I had high hopes for this based on how cute the game looks. Unfortunately this one fell a bit flat for me. There is a lot of randomness with the resource options each turn. Then a lot of limitations on cards you can build. We all had different cards we were looking out for to complete sets and in some cases we never saw the cards we needed. There needed to be more ways to mitigate dice due to the blind worker placement. There were many times when players were unable to do much on their turn due to poor dice rolls. Overall cute game, but it for me.
