Interesting introduction to the full 6-player version, but graphics are bland
It is a good introduction to the full-blown version of the game (2019's Dune), which is an update of the beloved original Avalon Hill game. In this version, the turns are reduced and there are only 4 factions. Game play is simplified from the full version, but that is not a bad thing for what it is, a great place to start scheming for control of Dune. The graphics are not great. I don't mean the fact that the movie images are used throughout, those are fine. Everything is too dark and too brown. It is hard to tell player pieces apart on the board, which is a shame.

A classic reborn!
Great update to a classic game! Way more streamlined than the older edition, and more balanced. The new art is also a huge plus!

A Legend in Boar Games Returns
A great game that takes the original version and shortens the playing time without loosing the flavor of play. For fans of the movie, it captures the likeness of the actors to add to the flavor. I highly recommend this game! It was a innovative when it was released in the 70’s and remains the standard for asymmetrical at in board games.

Great game
Fantastic, slimmed down version of the classic. Great to be able to play with 4 or less folks.

Excellent reimagining of a classic
Yep, it's a shorter version of DUNE. Is it an improvement? In some ways, absolutely. The market deck and the storm dice are excellent additions to the game. In other ways, it didn't feel as BIG as the other version. Those five turns go by really fast and that might irk some players. If you don't already have the DUNE board game, get the 2019 version of you have a group of serious gamers who don't mind a 3+ hour playtime. But if you're unsure about taking such a large bite of gaming goodness, the 2020 version is a perfect choice. All in all, both versions are going to sit proudly in my collection.
