This is a great set to start with if you want to get into Firefight. The Veer'myn especially have a ton of options and flexibility when it comes to building them.

Good Value, Awesome Models, tons to play with
I bought this for the dwarves vs rat men models and because I like the rules. I loved putting together the drill tank and the dwarf tank. They include enough pieces to make variants, and you can use magnets to swap the variants between games. The kit includes dice, a big ol rulebook, and lots of tokens. It has instructions for the infantry, but not the vehicles. There are video tutorials on how to put the vehicles together: Dwarf Tank - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frioedUc67A Ratmen Tunneler Tank - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMvEEGCQjZw You'll need plastic cement for the infantry, and superglue for the vehicles and larger infantry. If it comes in a bag, use superglue. If it comes on a plastic sprue, use plastic cement. I like how the rules are faster than warhammer. You measure everything from your squad leader, and the rest of the unit just needs to stay within coherency of them. When targeting an enemy, you measure range from your squad leader to any model in the enemy unit. Cover is simple, occupying buildings is nice and easy, and leadership / nerve tests can be devastating to fail. I think the box comes with 800 points of dwarfs and 800 points of ratmen. Not bad for $120!

Great starter box and so much value for veterans looking to add models and new book
The amount of value and great armies you get out of this box is amazing. Comes with 2 800 point Firefight armies and starting guide for Forge Fathers (low model count armored dwarfs) and Vermyn (high model count swarming rat) lists. Love the addition of vehicles to get used to them when building an army (similar to the Strike Force offerings by Mantic). The new rule book (Command Protocols) is excellent and continues to improve the game. Great box for veterans looking to add some models or just starting out.
