You've played Cosmic Encounter - you've conquered the stars. But, what comes next? In this campaign expansion, compete against your friends as you take a tour through time and space spanning four (or more) ages that each introduce their own variant. No matter how many previous expansions you own, Cosmic Odyssey gives you a taste of each like a cosmic smorgasbord.
Although some of the variants build upon ones that were first introduced in previous expansions, all of the content present is usable regardless of what else you own. Not only that, but Cosmic Odyssey adds five brand new variants to the game.
With 30 new alien species and 12 alternate timeline aliens who each have slipped over to our reality from parallel timelines, get ready to explore the Cosmic Multiverse like never before!

This was a must have expansion
I played the original Eon version back in the day, so getting the chance to play with some of the original aliens was great! The Throwback was just a great tribute to that edition. The Lucre analog is a bit weaker than the original version, but looks solid.

Best Value expansion
There are a ton of components in this box. Its definitely the best bang for your buck as far as cosmic expansions go. The only other thing you'd really even need are the extra ships that come from the first 3 expansions, otherwise Odyssey expands on every single mechanic while also adding a couple of really cool and interesting new ones. If you're semi new to this game, I'd recommend getting this either first if you're happy with the player count of 5, or waiting to get the ships and then grabbing this next. Campaigns rule and add interesting layers to playing and most of the aliens weve tried are either flat out great or at least fun and interesting. 10/10

The biggest and best Cosmic expansion
There is a ton of content in this box. The alien powers are new and interesting, several of which are improvements over previously overpowered or underpowered aliens. I played the campaign once and had a blast, although all the variants are playable in single games outside of the campaign. The variants are unique and interesting. Each player/group will end up having their favorites, but I love the Hazards and Reward Deck. If you play Cosmic Encounter at least somewhat regularly, you need this expansion.

Biggest and Best Expansion Yet!
This expansion offers more of everything you want for Cosmic Encounter, along with some brand new features. You should get the other expansions first if you want to enjoy the full experience because Cosmic Odyssey adds more elements for each of the old variants (more Reward cards, Hazard cards, Tech cards, Space Stations, etc.). There are tons of new aliens with awesome new powers. There are no variants to try. The campaign offers a unique way to play a series of games with a final clash deciding the ultimate victor of the cosmos. Long story short, this expansion is amazing. It complements the original expansions, and adds to everything epically!
