A token of reality!

I use these to make my encounters realistic. Monsters are one thing but not all rooms or areas that the good party visits are full of ogres, et alii. Just reading descriptions of a room does not always inspire the characters to check thing out thoroughly. These tokens bring that reality to life and challenge the characters to investigate.
