Clash of Steel: American - M26 Pershing Tank Platoon

Welcome to Clash of Steel. It's 1948 and the war has started again.
The Pershing's 90mm gun was powerful, but still lacked the ability to knock out the heavier German tanks, so an experimental long 90mm gun was designed. Two examples of these long guns were mounted in specially-modified Pershings. This was further modified in the field by adding additional armour plates cut from destroyed German Panthers. The result was America's first superheavy tank of the war.
The Super Pershing engaged the enemy, easily destroying German tanks that it encountered. The war ended before more Super Pershings could be built, but the design was considered successful enough to further develop the M26 Pershing series into a main battle tank.
This set allows 3 different tank models to be built: M26 Pershing, T26E4 Super Pershing, or T26E5 Assault Pershing Tanks.

Excellent Versatile Little Tank Kit
I adore these little kits from Battlefront/Gale Force 9. They go together like a dream, are pretty reasonably priced, and are extremely versatile. The kit can make three versions of the Pershing, all of use for both Clash of Steel, or Flames of War- especially with the Late War Leviathans release. They all make a neat little 15mm kit that I was able to assemble in under an hour or so. Highly recommended for 15mm wargaming enthusiasts!
