Good starter set for general painting
AP's paint set tie in's are good starter sets, but you don't need them for the product they've tied into. This set has nine paints and a dark brown wash. The starter brush won't replace a hobby brush.

Couldn't beat the price, and the paints aren't half bad.
I purchased this set because it was discounted greatly. I had heard that the original Army Painter paints aree not that great, but at the clearance price they were worth checking out. I tried them and found that they were easy to work with, although not as vibrant as the paints offered by some of their competitors. If you see these on sale, grab some.

Great starter set
If you went all-in on the Invader Kickstarter then these paints are essential to getting your minis well on the way to looking great for tabletop.
