One of the Best Value Options for True Metal Metallics
The other reviewer ain't wrong. The AP metallics remind me of the old Citadel metallics, back when they came in the hard plastic flip tops that dried out easy. For awhile, those were all I knew, and yet, having by now used almost every acrylic metallic out there, they were actually pretty good. The new citadel ones aren't "bad" - far from it - but I think the AP metallics are better. As the other reviewer mentioned, they are smooth, easy to apply, have a nice fine pigment, and provide the effect you're looking for, all in a better bottle and at a cheaper price than the GW equivalent. They are also more durable than Vallejo model color metallics, better pigment quality/density than Vallejo Game Color metallics, and better coverage than Reaper metallics. I think the Scale75 metallics may be a notch better for brush-on acrylic metallic, but you will pay more for them (when they're not sold out). Value-wise though, AP is probably the "best" I've found so far. I would have no problem recommending them to someone, especially if they're new to this hobby or on a budget. Then it's a no-brainer at that point.

Army Painter is King
I am no longer going to use Citadel paints now that I have discovered Army Painter. Built in dropper, more paint in container, no pots that dry out ad cause paint to get caught around the rim of the container, smooth paint and easy to apply, metallic shine, and half the price. Try these paints and stop spending all your money on inferior products.
